Founded in Vienna in 1790 by Josef Hardtmuth, Koh-I-Noor moved to Ceské Budejovice in the Czech Republic in 1848. His graphite pencils have won prizes at various fairs over the years, including 1855 in New York City, 1862 in London, 1882 in Milan, and 1925 in Paris.
